Weight Gain Treatment
One of the most common side effects of menopause is weight gain. Many women are more unhappy with this symptom than they are some of the others, but unfortunately, it is to be expected. Typically, weight gain in menopause happens slowly, at a rate of only ½ pound per year. The weight gain during menopause can happen more quickly and drastically, however, if the woman is experiencing surgical or early menopause. Women gain weight during menopause because of the fluctuations in hormones, much as birth control pills cause weight gain. Birth control and weight gain are often synonymous, and so is weight gain after menopause.
One of the most disliked parts of weight gain and menopause is that the weight is typically not put on evenly. Instead, most women gain menopause weight around the middle instead of all over the body. This can make menopause and weight gain seem even more undesirable than if the weight were gained evenly all over the body. Many women look for information about weight gain after menopause, and most are interested in how to control menopausal weight gain. Menopause weight gain with HRT use is often common, but avoiding hormone replacement therapy will often not avoid weight gain associated with menopause. Many women also want to know how to rid weight gain from menopause.

The best way to approach weight gain treatment, is to simply alter your diet. Decreasing the intake of fatty and processed foods, increasing fiber and water, and limiting carbohydrates can all act as a weight gain treatment by reducing weight slowly and naturally. Another way to achieve weight gain treatment is to increase physical activity and to be sure and take in the proper amounts of nutrients every day. By increasing the amount of times you eat per day, limiting overall calories, and eating the right types of foods, you will be achieving the most healthy method of weight gain treatment. And, at this stage in your life, although the weight may be bothersome, being healthy is the most important facet. Using drastic measures, such as medications, or going on fad diets are not good methods of weight gain treatment. This is true during any part of life, but it especially applies to women during menopause.
